I am a 40+ year member of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of SSAA singers who perform and compete in 4-part a cappella harmony.
I am a baritone and have sung in choruses of all sizes:
Heartland Harmony; Danville, Indiana - small
Capital City Chorus; Indianapolis, Indiana--medium/large
Spirit of the Gulf Chorus; Ft. Myers, Florida -large

I have sung in quartets with varying skill levels and goals. Two of those quartets, Once in a Lifetime (Region 4, Sweet Adelines) and Galaxy (Region 9, Sweet Adelines) earned medals finishing in the top five in our regional contests. I have also sung in quartets whose primary purpose was to perform for community audiences, bring barbershop harmony education to local schools, or to perform Christian music for church events.

I often call myself the "poster child" for the educational opportunities available in Sweet Adelines International. My music background consisted only of a few years of accordion lessons prior to joining this excellent music education organization. Educational seminars, self-study tools, and patient mentors have taught me 99% of what I know about music.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with family, gardening, golfing, and travel.
